Ms. Hamington received fourth place overall for all instrumental divisions in Illinois' concerto competition for her performance of Xavier Montsalvatge's Cinco Canciones Negras, in 2015. That summer, she played Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with the Franco-American Vocal Academy in Austria. Before Illinois, Ms. Hamington received her Bachelors in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance at Western Washington University.
